Opening Hours

We are currently closed for the draw-off, to complete maintenance works and to apply for further planning consents.

The reason that we close generally between November and March is not because we cannot open, it is because the RTVC has left the hull of the Duke of Cambridge visible to inspection by the public, so there is no insolation. This would mean vast amounts of heat would be required to provide a safe temperature for staff, voluteers and visitors.

We hope to remain open after the 2012 season, by have a clever idea to harness the power of the Thames to produce energy. This will all be reveiled at a public talk in June 2012.

The Thames has a tradition of producing electricity and this could facitiltate opening all year around. Look out for our blog and the events page.

The times are therefore guide times starting March 2012.
